I’ve just listened to SE Radio’s latest episode, an interview with Martin Odersky on, well, Scala, of course. For me, the most interesting points of the interview were:
- In addition to Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare, quite some banks (UBS, CS) are using Scala
- Scala Solutions is working on improving Scala-IDE
- Odersky is working on support for massive parallelism, far beyond threads/actors
